I am not a good writer so be warned.

I have thought over how I rank these music videos, and a simple 0 out of 10 is to simple and music videos have so much stuff to break down so I will explain how im now ranking these music videos.

How to rank music videos

  • Ranking criteria #1: VISUALS - Are they cool? Are they interesting? Does it make you think? points are 0 out of 10
  • Ranking Criteria #2: INNOVATION - Does it do something other music videos do? points are 0 out of 10
  • Ranking Criteria #3: RELATION - How well does it relate to the music? It is a music video so it should relate to the music. points are 0 out of 10
  • BONUS CRITERIA #1: STORY TIME - Does the music video tell a story? Either the story the song is telling you, or a new song that only the music video tells you?
  • BONUS CRITERIA #?: Any time I find something cool, it will be the 2nd bonus criteria. There can be as many bonus criteria's but will only add 0.1 points

Visuals are the most important (in my opinion) but I will add all three of these main criteria . The bonus criteria will only add on to the score but wont change it too much (for example, if story time is a bonus, it will add only 0.5 points) For the unnamed bonus criteria, things like new video effects i have never seen, a really cool consept for a music video, or when the artist stops the music to have more of the video (and does it well). Base line for every ranking will be a 5. Each main criteria will start at 5, it will either add on or subtract points on the ranking. (so each music video will start at 15)

This will be the graph that you will see in the music video ranking to help better visualize the ranking. (and ik it's super boring looking but im not a graphic design artist lol)
