This song was from the directors cut, and it is a fucking banger, and so it the music video. It is a classic underscores MV but in JAPAN! The reason to me on why it is in another country is to go with the overall story told in the album. With on of the charaters moving away fromn the (fictional) town to another place. And in the MV you can see underscores in japan doing the same things she has done in the US to mimic the lyrics...
You can take the girl out of this town But you can't take this town out of the girl
And that would symbolize that no matter where she goes, she is the same person. The character that we follow in the song (s*nny) decides to go back to their home town.
This music video gets an 8 out of 10 (anthony fantano rules... kinda)
